Spiritual Care Need: The Pediatric Nurses’ Perspective

BACKGROUND: Nurses as health professionals have to provide holistic nursing care that is a bio-psycho-socio-cultural and spiritual aspect. If the aspects are not met, it will impact patient’s healing process. It requires role of nurses meet needs patients. AIM: This study aims determine need based on pediatric nurses’ perspective. METHODS: used qualitative method phenomenology. Participants in this were all seven working inpatient ward three private hospitals Yogyakarta. Data collected through semi-structured interviews. RESULTS: The showed meaning was related religion psychology. can perform patients independently or collaborate with counselor. fulfilled patients’ remind daily prayer, pray for patients, them prayer before taking medicine other occasions. CONCLUSION: Spiritual be by collaboration
